Sacramental Preparation

Preparation for the Sacraments is an important area of parish life and we are lucky to

have a small group of dedicated people who are involved in sharing and passing on our

Catholic faith as Catechists.

The parish provides structured courses for the preparation of the Sacraments of

Baptism, First Reconciliation, First Holy Communion and Confirmation.

The parish can also provide marriage preparation courses as required.

The parish also provides preparation for those who wish to come into full communion

with the Catholic church by way of the Rite of Christian Initiation for Adults (RCIA).

Children’s Liturgy of the Word

Children’s Liturgy of the Word takes place each Sunday in school term time at the

11.00am Mass at St. Teilo’s.

The children listen to and discuss the readings and gospel of the day at a level

appropriate to them. This is also enriched with prayers, including a simplified penitential

rite, Gloria, Creed, songs and other activities.

Occasionally, work that has been prepared by the children is brought forward at the

Offertory Procession for presentation to the whole parish community.
