A thank you message from Mary's Meals

We received a wonderful card from Joanna Blake of Mary's Meals , (pictured above) it reads:

To all at the Parish of St Teilo's with Our Lady of Lourdes,

I wanted to send a personal note to thank you for your incredibly generous donation earlier in the year. Your support is very much appreciated.

You truly are "reaching out" so far - this donation of £1581.76 is enough to fund a cooking pot and stove set for a Mary's Meals kitchen (£215), and a year's school meals for 71 children (19.15 per child).

We are so encouraged by your generosity. Each stove is used by our amazing volunteers to cook up to 300 meals every school day, and the nourishing school meals that you are helping to provide make it possible for children to attend school regularly and have the energy

to concentrate, learn and play. This really does make a tangible difference in the lives of children and their entire community.

On behalf of the children we feed, their families and their teachers, sincere thanks for this life changing gift.

Blessed Advent.

Joanna Blake

If you did donate any photos etc for the Centenary display, please pick them up from the sacristy after Mass on a Sunday or weekday.

On one of our hottest evenings on Friday, July 10th some 25 brave Dabbers turned up to support the Parish Bingo evening. Angela Massey, her family and the fans (the undulating, not the adulating, kind) brought fun and refreshments. It was a really fantastic effort which raised £120 for Parish funds. Thank you to all who attended, regular and new.
