This month’s craft session takes place in the Parish Hall at St. Teilo’s next Saturday, August 9th after Mass, from 10.45am - 12.30pm. The session is about card making and is suitable for absolute beginners to experts. The session is free. Hope to see you there! On Friday, August 15th at 7pm, there will be Mass and a Torchlight Procession of the Statue of Our Lady to celebrate the great Feast of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary at St. Alban’s on the Moors, Cardiff. Mass begins at 7pm and the procession takes place through the streets of Splott immediately following the Mass. All are welcome to attend this devotion.

Many parishioners will know Br. Brian, a Rosminian brother who has lived in the community of St. Joseph’s, Cathays for 26 years. Br. Brian, who for 22 years was well known to the Catholic Community in the City for his role as the Chaplin to the Heath Hospital, is moving from St. Joseph’s to the Rosminian house in Derryswood, Guilford. A Farewell Mass will be celebrated for him on Monday this week, at St. Joseph’s at 6pm. All are welcome to attend.

March for Life UK is a major event taking place on Saturday, September 6th in London. Thousands of people will join together, united in a show of unity for the value of life from conception and standing up for all those who have been impacted by abortion. If you are interested in taking part, two coaches will be travelling up to London on the day. We will have coffee and tea in the St. Pope John Paul II Chapel at Our Lady of Lourdes after the 10.00am Mass on Wednesday 6th August . If you are at Mass on that day, please stay behind and spend some time socialising and sharing with our fellow parishioners.

Each Tuesday evening, the parish has an hour of silent Adoration at St. Teilo’s from 7pm to 8pm. The primary intention for the period of Adoration is vocations to the priesthood and religious life. Feel free to come for all or part of the hour to pray for the Church in its need for faithful ministers to continue the Mission of Jesus.

The Parish Loss and Bereavement Café continues on Wednesday. The Café is for anyone dealing with loss and you will find a cuppa and warm welcome waiting for you. Remember your loss does not have to mean bereavement. It can be any kind of loss you are feeling and perhaps with which you are struggling. The Café takes place on Wednesday from 1.30pm to 3pm in St. Teilo’s Parish Hall. Weekly attendance is not required. Come as and when you are able.

The Parish indoor physical activity group takes place this week on Thursday, in the Hall at St. Teilo’s from 12 to 1pm. Please note the change of day. Walk and Talk around the Reservoir – this Wednesday The Walk and Talk group meets on Wednesday evening at 6pm at the car park in Caedelyn Park. All are welcome to come along and join the group.

St. Teilo’s Friends of Divine Mercy Prayer Group meets on Saturday, August 2nd at 2.30pm in the Parish Hall. Everyone is welcome to come along to pray for the parish and the intentions of the parishioners.
