Catholic healing and evangelisation service – January 24th The Great Awakening celebration takes place on Saturday, January 24th at Bethal Convention Centre, West Bromwich. Fr. Xavier Vattayil, a priest who is well known worldwide for the charism of healing with thousands of testimonies of healing, physical incl cancer, mental, emotional and spiritual. Other speakers will include Abbot Hugh Allan, Director of Mission for the Catholic Bishops Conference of England and Wales and Bishop Timothy Menezes, the auxillary bishop of Birmingham. There will be dynamic music, House of the Open Door youth activities, Holy Mass, Adoration, prayer ministry, children and teenage streams. Thursday, December 18th from 12pm until 2.30pm The staff and students of St. David's Catholic Sixth Form College cordially invite Senior Citizens of the Parish to the ANNUAL COMMUNITY MASS at our Chapel of St. John Paul Il. RCIA – Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults The Parish Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults (RCIA) programme continues. The sessions run in the Parish Hall at St. Teilo’s on Wednesday evenings at 6pm.

A decorated box will also be af the back of churches for children to post their letters to Santa. Parents, can you make sure full names are in the letters in the event Santa has time to respond ….

A decorated post box will be at the back of both Churches from this weekend. If you would like to give a card to a friend who attends any of our Masses pop it in the box and cards can be collected on Sunday the 21st after Mass. Please, if possible, add surname and what Mass the individual(s) attend.

Preparation for First Holy Communion will start on Sunday, January 18th, 2026 , at St Teilo’s, with children receiving the Sacrament on Sunday, May 10th. If you live in the Parish and your child is in Year 3 or above, they are eligible to take part in the programme in 2026. To enrol your child on the programme please e-mail whitchurch@rcadc.org to request an enrolment form or you can pick one up at the back of the Church. Please return the completed form as soon as possible. There is an expectation that if your child is enrolled on the Programme that they will make their First Holy Communion at St Teilo’s.

Tickets are available at the back of our Churches after all Masses this weekend. The cost will be £1 per strip and the draw will take place on Sunday, December 21st in the Hall after the 10am Mass. Money raised will be for Mary’s Meals.  There are lots of wonderful prizes. Many thanks to everybody who donated gifts.

Each Tuesday evening, the parish has an hour of silent Adoration at St. Teilo’s from 7pm to 8pm. The primary intention for the period of Adoration is vocations to the priesthood and the religious life.

This month’s craft session takes place in the Parish Hall at St. Teilo’s next Saturday, December 13th after Mass, from 10.45am - 12.30pm. The session is the pre-Christmas get together and will include creating last minute cards and gift tags. The session is free. Hope to see you there!
