Safeguarding
Webmaster • July 12, 2025
The work of our parish is expanding and volunteer numbers increasing. In upcoming weeks, as a parish community we will be looking to ensure safeguarding processes and policies are up to date and robust as we continue to nurture a positive and proactive culture of protecting the young, the vulnerable and all volunteers within St. Teilo’s and Our Lady of Lourdes. If anyone has any issues they wish to raise regarding this, please do not hesitate to contact Jill on 07813 322179 or
gildersleve@ntlworld.com Thank you.

Clothes donations for the SVP The Parish St. Vincent De Paul (SVP) Conference undertakes a monthly collection of clothing for the SVP Charity Shop. Clean, good quality clothing, books and toys are welcome. Donations may be left outside the confessionals at the rear of St. Teilo’s this weekend, July 13th, and on the weekend of the Second Sunday of each month. Please ensure that donations are brought to the Church only on the specified Sundays, as we do not want the Church to become cluttered during the week. – Thank you from the parish SVP.

Seafarers and fishers play a vital role in all of our lives, but they often work in difficult, hazardous conditions. The number of crews abandoned by their employers is still at a record high. Conflicts around the world are compromising seafarers’ safety, and many are experiencing stress and poorer mental health. Stella Maris (formerly known as the Apostleship of the Sea) is the maritime agency of the Catholic Church. Its teams of chaplains provide practical help and pastoral care to seafarers and fishers in the UK and around the world. Please stand alongside seafarers and fishers so that they will always have a friend in port to whom they can turn. Please also pray for seafarers and give to the collection at Mass. You are also able to donate using a debit or credit card at the Electronic Donation Station at the back of St. Teilo’s or at this address – https://donate.mydona.com/st-teilo-our-lady-of-lourdes

Archbishop Mark will celebrate the 10am Mass at St. Teilo’s next Sunday and celebrate the Sacrament of Confirmation with the Parish candidates. Please keep them in your prayers as they experience the coming of the Holy Spirit in their lives in a new way. Refreshments will be served in St. Teilo’s Hall after the Confirmation Mass. We hope Parishioners will come and celebrate with those being confirmed and also meet the Archbishop.
