Our next centenary celebration is a pilgrimage walk to visit the tomb of St Teilo in Llandaff on
Saturday 2nd August, to join please sign the form at the back of the church, we would love you to come along!
The Parish Knit and Natter group will meet in St. Teilo’s Hall on Thursday 3rd July following the 10.00am Mass. All are welcome to come along and join in the knitting or the nattering or both!
The Archdiocesan Catholic Charismatic Team invites all parishioners in the Archdiocese to a Saturday with praise and worship, Mass and small group sharing at Jubilee shrines across the Archdiocese. The date and venue of the final Saturday is Saturday July 5th – St. Non’s Retreat, near St David’s – SA62 6BN
March for Life UK is a major event taking place on Saturday, September 6th in London. Thousands of people will join together, united in a show of unity for the value of life from conception and standing up for all those who have been impacted by abortion. If you are interested in taking part, two coaches will be travelling up to London on the day. St. Teilo’s Friends of Divine Mercy Prayer Group meets on Saturday, July 5th at 2.30pm in the Parish Hall. Everyone is welcome to come along to pray for the parish and the intentions of the parishioners.
Back by popular demand The Local Vocals community choir led by Mary Chichester, who is a member of St. Teilo’s parish is again performing its Summer Concert at St. Teilo’s Church Whitchurch on Tuesday July 15th at 7.30pm. Tickets are £5 each. The charity for the evening is The Reaching Out Project. Please Contact Mary 07795371762 for tickets but tickets will be available at the door.
We will have coffee and tea in the St. Pope John Paul II Chapel at Our Lady of Lourdes after the 10.00am Mass on Wednesday 2nd July . If you are at Mass on that day, please stay behind and spend some time socialising and sharing with our fellow parishioners.
Saturday, July 5th, is the first Saturday of July. We will therefore celebrate the First Saturday devotions after the 10am Mass. There will be Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament during the devotions and confessions will be available. Why not come along to respond to Our Lady’s call to pray for the whole world?
Each Tuesday evening, the parish has an hour of silent Adoration at St. Teilo’s from 7pm to 8pm. The primary intention for the period of Adoration is vocations to the priesthood and religious life. Feel free to come for all or part of the hour to pray for the Church in its need for faithful ministers to continue the Mission of Jesus.
Adoration and Exposition – Our Lady of Lourdes The Polish Community holds silent Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament on Thursday evenings from 7.30 to 8.30pm. All are welcome to come along and pray in silence, in the presence of the Lord Jesus. Adoration is preceded by Mass in Polish at 7pm. Adoration and Exposition – St. Teilo’s There will be Adoration and Exposition of the Blessed Sacrament from 10.30am to midday at St. Teilo’s this Friday. Why not come along to spend time in silent prayer and Adoration before the Lord?
The Pilgrimage of Hope is a national walking pilgrimage for England and Wales with four main Ways converging at the Cathedral of St. Barnabas, Nottingham, on Saturday, September 13th, the eve of the Feast of the Exaltation of the Holy Cross. It is an initiative of the Hearts in Search of God project. The Ways start at the Catholic cathedrals in Cardiff, Leeds, Norwich and London and will bless our nations with a Sign of the Cross. The routes use established hiking routes and are off road as much as possible. A small group of 'perpetual pilgrims' will walk the full distance of each Way, with up to 20 day pilgrims joining for day stages. It is now possible for pilgrims to register for day stages.
