The next Baptism Course takes place in St. Teilo’s Hall on Monday, May 12th and completes on Monday, May 19th at 7pm. Both sessions will last around an hour. All those who wish to have their child baptised need to attend the course before the Baptism. There are a few spaces still available for the trip to the National Shrine of Our Lady of the Taper, Cardigan, on Wednesday, May 14th. A coach will depart on the day at 8.40am from St. Teilo’s and depart from Cardigan at approximately 5pm, arriving back in Cardiff about 7.30pm. The Parish Rosary Prayer Group that normally meets on the last Thursday of each month at 2pm in Ty Mair, 19 Heol y Waun CF14 1LB at the junction of Heol Gabriel and College Road will meet this month on Thursday, May 22nd. The group members have intercessory prayer, read and discuss the following Sunday's Gospel, pray the Rosary, pray the 3 o'clock prayer and the Divine Mercy Chaplet, and have a cuppa!  Please note carefully the change of date this month; the Prayer Group will meet on Thursday, May 22nd . All are welcome to attend.

A Jubilee Family Funday has been arranged for the Archdiocese on Saturday, May 31st at Belmont Abbey. All are welcome to attend. The funday is an opportunity to come together and take a pilgrimage as an Archdiocesan Family and share an afternoon of fun with fellow Pilgrims of Hope. Please bring a picnic and the family, or come on your own, to an afternoon of fun, free flow activities including games, information and reflection ... and a Pilgrims’ Treasure Hunt. Arrivals from 11am, Mass of the Visitation to be celebrated by the Archbishop at 11.30am with an opportunity for the Sacrament of Reconciliation. The day will end at 4pm and people can leave then or remain for the Sunday Vigil Mass at 4pm.

Parishioners from St. Teilo’s are continuing to collaborate with the team who operate the Night Shelter at St. Mary of the Angels, Canton. In addition to the overnight accommodation, they offer the team now do a food run for the homeless once a month. Unlike the food we collect for families in the area, the needs of the food run are for the kinds of food that are appealing to young, often male, people on the street. Those who benefit from this provision are especially seeking fizzy drinks, chocolate bars, small individual cakes and crisps. If you are able to donate such items for the homeless, please leave them in the box at the back of the Church.

New Wineskins invite you to an HOUR of Prayer, Praise and Healing on Saturday May 17th from 10am to 11am at St. Dyfrig's Church, Treforest. The format of the prayer is: Praise & Worship, a talk, adoration and Healing Prayer Ministry. You are most welcome to attend.

Please keep our new Holy Father, Pope Leo, in your prayers as he begins his ministry to the Church and the world: O God, shepherd and ruler of all the faithful, look favourably on Your servant Pope Leo, whom You have set at the head of Your Church as her shepherd. Grant, we pray, that by word and example he may be of service to those over whom he presides so that, together with the flock entrusted to his care, he may come to everlasting life. We ask this through Christ our Lord. AMEN. Archbishop Mark issued a statement on the election of the new Pope.

We will have coffee and tea in the St. Pope John Paul II Chapel at Our Lady of Lourdes after the Mass and Stations of the Cross on Wednesday 14th May . If you are at Mass on that day, please stay behind and spend some time socialising and sharing with our fellow parishioners.
