Adoration and Exposition – Our Lady of Lourdes


The Polish Community holds silent Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament on Thursday evenings from 7.30 to 8.30 pm. All are welcome to come along and pray in silence, in the presence of the Lord Jesus. Adoration is preceded by Mass in Polish at 7pm.


Adoration and Exposition – St. Teilo’s


There will be Adoration and Exposition of the Blessed Sacrament from 10.30am to midday at St. Teilo’s this Friday. Why not come along to spend time in silent prayer and adoration before the Lord, present in the Most Holy Sacrament?

This month, the WRB Ecumenical Prayer Group is meeting next Saturday, May 25th , from 10.15am to 10.45am. The venue this month is St. Thomas Anglican Church, Birchgrove. Please come and join with our Christian friends from the other churches in the area for a short time of prayer and fellowship.

On Saturday May 25th, Archbishop Mark will be holding an Online Open Listening Session via Zoom. Anyone from the Archdiocese of Cardiff and the Diocese of Menevia is welcome to attend. The session includes an introduction by Archbishop Mark on why we are considering a union of both the Dioceses of Cardiff and Menevia, some of the challenges and benefits and a brief history of both Dioceses. People will then break into groups in breakout rooms on Zoom, and be asked to consider 3 questions relating to the proposed union of the two Dioceses and about the Church in general. Each group will present its findings and the session will conclude with a Q&A session with Archbishop Mark. Date: Saturday, May 25th; start time: 10:00 am; Finish: 11:45 am -12:00 pm. The Parish Knit and Natter group will meet at St. Teilo’s Hall on Thursday 16th May following the 9.30am Mass. All are welcome to come along and join in the knitting or the nattering or both!

The Parish Rosary Prayer Group usually meets on the last Thursday of each month at 2.00pm in Ty Mair, 19 Heol y Waun CF14 1LB at the junction of Heol Gabriel and College Road. The group members have intercessory prayer, read and discuss the following Sunday's Gospel, pray the Rosary, pray the 3 o'clock prayer and the Divine Mercy Chaplet, and have a cuppa! Please note that due to other commitments during half-term, the next meeting this month takes place a week earlier on  Thursday, May 23rd . All are welcome to attend.

St. Teilo’s Friends of Divine Mercy Prayer Group meets on Saturday, May 25th at 2.30pm in the Parish Hall. Everyone is welcome to come along to pray for the parish and the intentions of the parishioners.

We will have coffee, tea and biscuits in the St. Pope John Paul II Chapel at Our Lady of Lourdes after the 10.00am Mass and Stations of the Cross on Wednesday, May 22nd . If you are at the Mass on that day, please stay behind and spend some time socialising and sharing with our fellow parishioners.

The Parish Charismatic Prayer Group takes place at St. Teilo’s on Tuesday, May 21st , at 7pm. All are welcome to come along on Tuesday, for a time of prayer and praise in the Parish Hall, upstairs at the back of the Church.

Today, a group from the Archdiocese will be taking part in the Cardiff Bay 10k and raising money for the Priest Training Fund. The group is taking the collective name: ‘Follow the Flame’. Liam Kelly, from our parish, has agreed to be part of this group and has been asking for sponsorship. On Sunday June 2nd a Corpus Christi Procession will make its way through the streets of Cardiff. Carrying the Blessed Sacrament around the streets of Cardiff is our way of saying to people that Christ is with us here and now in this place – in the midst of the shops, the cafes, the bars and restaurants. The procession will begin with Mass at 2.00pm at the University Chaplaincy, the chapel is at the back of 62, Park Place with the procession expected to start at 3.00pm. The procession will make its way from the chaplaincy through the streets of the city towards St. David’s Cathedral in Charles Street. Everyone is welcome to attend for Mass and the Procession.
