Please pray for the repose of the soul of Bernadette Evans. Mrs. Evans’s Funeral Mass will take place at St. Teilo’s at 1.30pm on Wednesday, April 24th followed by interment at Pantmawr Cemetery at 3.30pm.

Baptism Preparation Course

The next Baptism Course takes place at St. Teilo’s Hall on Wednesday, May 15th and completes on Wednesday, November 22nd at 7pm. Both sessions will last around an hour. Whitchurch, Rhiwbina and Birchgrove Ecumenical Prayer Group

This month, the WRB Ecumenical Prayer Group is meeting next Saturday, April 27th , from 10.15am to 10.45am. The venue this month is St. Andrew’s Methodist Church, Birchgrove. Please come and join with our Christian friends from the other churches in the area for a short time of prayer and fellowship.

Knit and Natter Group

There will be no Knit and Natter group meeting this week as the Hall is being used for a Deanery Clergy meeting on Thursday. Knit and Natter will resume on Thursday, May 9th.

Sacrament of Confirmation

The confirmandi are undertaking preparation for their reception of the Sacrament of Confirmation on Sunday, July 7th . Please keep the candidates in your prayers as they experience in a new way, the coming of the Holy Spirit in their lives. The confirmandi’s names are Amelia, Anne, Bianca, Charles, Daniela, Frank, Gabe, Joshua, Laurie, Madalena and Tommy.

No Coffee and Tea at Our Lady of Lourdes on Wednesday

Due to the Funeral Mass for Bernadette, there will be no Mass, nor coffee and tea after Mass this Wednesday. We will resume normal arrangement on Wednesday, May 1st .

St. Teilo's with Our Lady of Lourdes St. Vincent De Paul Conference – An Appeal For New Members

Suzie Rees, Membership Support Officer for the SVP, is to make an appeal for new members at all Masses on the weekend of April 27th and 28th . Interested parishioners will then be invited to a meeting in the parish hall at 7pm on Wednesday, May 1st , at 7.00pm for more information.

Parish Rosary Prayer Group

The Parish Rosary Prayer Group meets on the last Thursday of each month at 2.00pm in Ty Mair, 19 Heol y Waun CF14 1LB at the junction of Heol Gabriel and College Road. The group members have intercessory prayer, read and discuss the following Sunday's Gospel, pray the Rosary, pray the 3 o'clock prayer and the Divine Mercy Chaplet, and have a cuppa! The next meeting takes place this Thursday, April 25th . All are welcome to attend.

Charismatic Prayer Group

The Parish Charismatic Prayer Group takes place at St. Teilo’s on Tuesday, April 23rd, at 7pm . All are welcome to come along on Tuesday, for a time of prayer and praise in the Parish Hall, upstairs at the back of the Church.

Missio Red Box 2023

In 2023, St. Teilo's with Our Lady of Lourdes raised £1,902.67 through our Red Boxes and donations to Missio and the Mill Hill Missionaries. Thank you! Our missionary community here at our parish is part of a worldwide network of people supporting missionaries overseas through prayer and financial assistance. Ignatius MHM who works with a rural community in Uganda, enables people to come together to celebrate the Eucharist and to work together to improve the lives of the whole community.
