On Wednesday, July 10th, at the 7pm Mass at St. Teilo’s, we welcomed three new adult members of the Church. Lucy Davies was baptised and Jordan Kingsford and Kristian Page was received into the Church, having previously been baptised in different Christian traditions.
It is a great joy for the parish to see new members joining our community and it was a wonderful occasion photos below.

St. Teilo’s Centenary Celebrations presents a Tea Dance and Singalong on Sunday, June 8th in the Parish Hall from 2pm until 5pm. There will be music and dancing: through the decades wartime classics, Big Band Sound, 50’s crooners, Showtime favourites, 60’s Jive ,70’s easy listening etc…. Come and take to the floor or sing along. Something for everyone, whatever your age. The Archdiocesan Catholic Charismatic Team invites all parishioners in the Archdiocese to a Saturday with praise and worship, Mass and small group sharing at Jubilee shrines across the Archdiocese. Each day runs from 10 am to 3pm. Please bring a packed lunch. The dates and venues are as follows: • Saturday June 14th – Sacred Heart Centre, Swansea SA6 6HX • Saturday June 28th – Belmont Abbey, Hereford HR2 9RZ • Saturday July 5 th – St. Non’s Retreat, near Haverfordwest SA62 6BN

Mary Prendergast writes: " Heartfelt thanks to all who organised the ‘Coffee Morning’ with its delicious cake to mark my ‘Milestone Birthday’ in the Parish Hall. Thanks also to Gail and the team for their amazing floral displays and to the altar servers. His Holiness Pope Francis was in place of honour on the altar too! Thanks to Fr. John who oversaw it all. I was overwhelmed and overawed by it all. God bless each and every one of you ."

The Deanery Pastoral Council meets in St. Teilo’s Hall after Mass next Saturday. During Saturday’s Mass the members of the Council will make a commitment to carry out their work faithfully as members of the Council. Due to the meeting, there will be no Confessions at St. Teilo’s on Saturday morning.

Thursday 29th May is the great solemnity of the Ascension of Our Lord into Heaven. It is a Holyday of Obligation on which all Catholics are expected to attend Mass. Ascension Day Masses will be at 10am at St. Teilo’s and at 6pm at Our Lady of Lourdes on Thursday. The Mass readings and prayers for the Solemnity of the Ascension are on page 271 of the Parish Mass Book.

The Parish Pastoral Council is looking for a volunteer to take the Minutes of the Parish Pastoral Council. The current secretary of the Parish Council has changed jobs and is not able to combine minute taking with the other roles he undertakes. A Jubilee Family Funday has been arranged for the Archdiocese on Saturday, May 31st at Belmont Abbey. All are welcome to attend. The funday is an opportunity to come together and take a pilgrimage as an Archdiocesan Family and share an afternoon of fun with fellow Pilgrims of Hope. Please bring a picnic and the family, or come on your own, to an afternoon of fun, free flow activities including games, information and reflection ... and a Pilgrims’ Treasure Hunt. Arrivals from 11am, Mass of the Visitation to be celebrated by the Archbishop at 11.30am with an opportunity for the Sacrament of Reconciliation. The day will end at 4pm and people can leave then or remain for the Sunday Vigil Mass at 4pm.
