National Awakening Healing service in Birmingham – September 6th

Anointed Fire Catholic Ministries are hosting the National Awakening Eucharistic Healing service in Bethel Convention Centre near Birmingham on Saturday, September 6th .
Speakers include John and Aleksandra Stayne of Cor et Lumen Christi plus dynamic youth ministry music, talks, mass, confession, prayer ministry and healing in Adoration
You are invited to come along for a refreshing, powerful and Spirit filled healing day. All ages including children’s streams and teen/youth meetings. Buses are available. The venue is just off the motorway. If you are interested, please contact Madeleine Jeremy on 07791503857
The Parish Knit and Natter group will meet in St. Teilo’s Hall on Thursday 28th August following the 10.00am Mass. All are welcome to come along and join in the knitting or the nattering or both!
Donations via CAFOD to Gaza since the start of the conflict have been a vital lifeline. Right now, CAFOD's partner, Caritas Jerusalem, is delivering essential medical treatment to displaced people and providing medicines to treat chronic illnesses. CAFOD has helped 1,400 households with cash to buy supplies in the last month and is currently feeding 2,000 people with new stocks of flour and rice. Despite the restrictions on aid coming into Gaza, CAFOD's local partners are working tirelessly to help people. With your ongoing support, they will do all in their power to keep doing so. The annual 40 hours of Eucharistic Adoration at St. Alban’s Church, Splott takes place on the weekend of the 28th, 29th and 30th of August . i.e. next weekend. The opening Mass will be at 7pm on Friday, August 28th . Adoration will then take place from 8pm to 10pm. Adoration on Saturday, August 29th will be from 7am to 10pm. All are welcome to come along to pray before the Blessed Sacrament for as long or as short a time as they wish.
March for Life UK is a major event taking place on Saturday, September 6th in London. Thousands of people will join together, united in a show of unity for the value of life from conception and standing up for all those who have been impacted by abortion. If you are interested in taking part, two coaches will be travelling up to London on the day. St. Teilo’s Friends of Divine Mercy Prayer Group meets on Saturday, August 30th at 2.30pm in the Parish Hall. Everyone is welcome to come along to pray for the parish and the intentions of the parishioners.
The Parish Rosary Prayer Group meets on the last Thursday of each month at 2.00pm in Ty Mair, 19 Heol y Waun CF14 1LB at the junction of Heol Gabriel and College Road. The group members have intercessory prayer, read and discuss the following Sunday's Gospel, pray the Rosary, pray the 3 o'clock prayer and the Divine Mercy Chaplet, and have a cuppa! The next meeting takes place on Thursday, August 28th . All are welcome to attend.
We will have coffee and tea in the St. Pope John Paul II Chapel at Our Lady of Lourdes after the 10.00am Mass on Wednesday 27th August . If you are at Mass on that day, please stay behind and spend some time socialising and sharing with our fellow parishioners.
Each Tuesday evening, the parish has an hour of silent Adoration at St. Teilo’s from 7pm to 8pm. The primary intention for the period of Adoration is vocations to the priesthood and religious life. Feel free to come for all or part of the hour to pray for the Church in its need for faithful ministers to continue the Mission of Jesus.
Adoration and Exposition – Our Lady of Lourdes The Polish Community holds silent Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament on Thursday evenings from 7.30 to 8.30pm. All are welcome to come along and pray in silence, in the presence of the Lord Jesus. Adoration is preceded by Mass in Polish at 7pm. Adoration and Exposition – St. Teilo’s There will be Adoration and Exposition of the Blessed Sacrament from 10.30am to midday at St. Teilo’s this Friday. Why not come along to spend time in silent prayer and Adoration before the Lord?
Rest in Peace Please pray for the repose of the soul of Gina Cumberlidge who has died recently. She was a parishioner of St. Teilo’s but in recent years had been living in a nursing home in Romilly Road. Her Funeral Mass will be on Saturday, October 25th at 10am at St. Teilo’s. Please remember Rev. Deacon David O’Keefe, a long-time servant of the Archdiocese who ministered in the Merthyr Tydfil parishes. Deacon David died recently, following a long period of illness. Details of his funeral are not yet available. Please also pray for those whose anniversaries occur at this time: G.
